Provider updates

Earlier this year, CareOregon implemented changes to our standards for non-contracted Medicaid providers. As of October 1, 2025, non-contracted providers are no longer able to bill CareOregon for outpatient mental health and substance use disorder services.

We have updated the Behavioral Health Provider Manual to reflect these changes. Use this manual to find information on claims, authorizations, data reporting etc. for dates of service after October 1, 2025.

For information on dates of service prior to October 1, 2025 please reference the Pre-10/1 Behavioral Health Provider Manual instead.
